In December 2010, it has been officially confirmed by a
representative of the Daughters of the American Revolution that
descendants of Sarabeth Devine Adams are sons and daughters of the
American Revolution. Sarabeth's Grandfather, John Devine,
participated in the American Revolution. He was born in 1765 in
Virginia and married Nachree Carle in 1808 in Mississippi. They had
nine children one of them being Washington Sylvester Devine who was
born in 1811 in Florida. Washington S. Devine married Mary Polly
Simpson in 1834. Sarabeth A. Devine was one of Washington and
Polly's ten children.
